LTSU Food Bank
You should never have to go without food or other necessities.
The LTSU Food Bank is run by the La Trobe Student Union. We encourage you to take what you need, the purpose is to make food and other household items available to those who need them most.
Research has found that it is increasingly difficult for students to balance their time between study requirements and finding the income they need to support themselves. Cuts to penalty rates and inflation only add to this hardship.
What time is the Food Bank open?
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11am-2pm
*dependent on supply & volunteers.
How does the Food Bank work?
LTSU Food Bank provides a range of food and other household items for you to choose from. La Trobe students are welcome to visit once per week and take one tote bag size of items away with them for free. Students are also welcome to contribute in any way they can. You can also 'pay it forward' and volunteer your time on the floor.
We want all students who visit to leave not only with the items they need but also with the feeling that they are part of a supportive and inclusive community.
Where is LTSU Food Bank?
LTSU Food Bank is located on the Ground Floor of Agora, Shop 113, next to the Post Office and ELT.
