Monday 07 August

  • 2pm - 4pm - The Agora - DIY Cleaning Products Workshop - Learn how to make your own environmentally friendly cleaning products for use around the house and save not only the environment, but money! Bring your own bottles and containers to the workshop and leave with ready to use products.

Wednesday 09 August

  • 8am - 10am - The Agora - Free Fair Trade Breakfast from the LTSU
  • 11am - 1pm - venue tbc - ESP hosts discussion with Local Food Connect / Sustainable Macleod
  • 12.30 - 2pm - ELT 2 - Fairtrade Fortnight Special Event - Documentary Screening of The True Cost. Including an introductory discussion, Q&A and door prizes! Free.
  • 2 - 5pm - The Patch (garden betw library and CP8) - Grow your own Asparagus Workshop

Monday 14 August

  • 12 - 2pm - The Agora - Oxfam bake sale - should have plenty of vegan options!
  • 12 - 2pm - The Agora - DIY Cleaning Products Workshop - Learn how to make your own environmentally friendly cleaning products for use around the house and save not only the environment, but money! Bring your own bottles and containers to the workshop and leave with ready to use products.
  • 3.30pm - 5.30pm - TLC 414 - Free Documentary screening of Urban Roots - If you like the idea of guerilla gardening and urban farms this one is for you!
  • 6pm - 11ish - Meet at Lentils As Anything Thornbury - Dumpster Diving with ESP - learn about the art of dumpster diving and take home some decent unloved food!

Tuesday 15 August

  • 11am - 1pm - venue tbc - Free Screen Printing Workshop - BYO T-shirt or fabric to print on and we'll teach you how to do the rest!

Wednesday 16 August

  • 8am - 10am - The Agora - Free Fair Trade Breakfast from the LTSU
  • 10am - 2pm - The Agora - ESP Coop Pop Up - swing by and take or swap free food, clothing and other goodies! This is an exercise in alternative economies.
  • The Agora - Vegan BBQ - Hosted by the Animal Rights Society. Food glorious food!
  • 12.30pm - 2.30pm - ELT 2 - Fairtrade Fortnight Special Event: Documentary Film - Seven Women - Including an introductory discussion, Q&A and door prizes! Free.
  • 5pm - 7ish - The Patch - Twilight Garden Party w/ Matt Glass & The Loose Cannons - celebrate winter darkness with hot drinks, great company and the earthy tunes of Matt Glass & The Loose Cannons. Free!

Thursday 17 August

  • 3.30pm - 4.30pm - The Patch (community garden between the library and CP8) - Edible Weed Walk - hosted by Monica from Ceres and Joe's Market Garden, learn how to spot edible weeds and locally growing herbs to use in your cooking!
