Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) - 50 Years of Film Festival

Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (M, 103 min)
A team of three including two drag queens (Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce and Terence Stamp) are well known for their colourful camp performances in Sydney but are getting a little tired of the routine. The three jump at the chance to perform in the Australian outback and Alice Springs, taking Priscilla, a lavender coloured recycled school bus (part home, part stage). The team encounters all sorts of strange characters and adventures that makes for an Australian classic with a stunning musical score. 1994: directed by Stephan Elliot
