Book an appointment

Description

MASO is La Trobe’s one and only Mature Age Student Organisation! MASO is for all students who commenced their first course at the age of 21 years or older.

This organisation aims to connect mature age students with one another, and provide information and advice for students!

Including but not limited too

  • Referral to appropriate services on campus
  • Legal advice
  • Counselling
  • Welfare services
  • Use of our MASO lounge!

It also provides a range of on and off campus social activities for members, and offers student representation for mature age students through a variety of boards and committees by lobbying the university and so forth.

Commonly, mature age students are at a disadvantage in comparison to other students. Whether that be due to children, career, tafe or working difficult hours to fit in study. MASO is here to help and provide a space just for them! The lounge is part of level 1 Union Hall, next to the Union building and the amphitheater.

We are a growing organisation on campus and we are currently looking for dedicated committee members! Don't be shy, contact us to be involved!

MASO lounge:
The MASO lounge is located in the basement of the Union Building, downstairs from Ping's Cafe. There are microwave ovens, fridges, free pool table, study spaces, free coffee/tea and also the Queer Lounge is located within MASO Lounge.
